Welcome to the Stanmore Public School
Web Site

Our school has been teaching the kids of the Marrickville, Stanmore, Petersham area for over
one hundred years. In the past, the school provided both priamry and secondary education, with
more than 2,000 children attending the school in 1932.
Today, Stanmore Public School is a K-6 primary school with nearly 400 students aged between 5
and 12. The school is a proud and active member of the local community with kids from many
different ethnic backgrounds reflecting the great cultural diversity of the area we live in.
We hope you enjoy our web site. Please take a look around, follow the links to find out more
about our school and some of the things we do both in class and as extra activities.
This site was prepared in 2000 by a group of year 4 and 5 children at the school.
