This was a day in 1999 on a school camp, at Bathurst. We were going to an ancient mine-shaft. It was fun but as we climbed out one of students felt ill and decided not to climb up the long ladder
to the exit.
After a while she changed her mind and started the long journey to the top. High above her the park-ranger was sealing her only escape . With her was our beloved...librarian.
It wasn't until we returned to camp that our assistant-principal realised their absence. He drove back to find them and discovered their imprisonment in the ancient mine shaft. He alerted the
park- rangers and before long they were back at camp. After many welcomes, a curious student asked the librarian what they did while waiting to get out. The librarian replied, "Our assistant principal is a horrible tap dancer and please please please don't let him sing for us again !!!!!"
